Hello Voters, I’m Pastor Jordan Wells. I am a candidate for Duval County School Board District 4 .I’m am a parent of four children and worked in the district for many years. I  am also a committed community member and servant as a spiritual leader in our community. My experience in teaching some of our most challenging students, counseling and special needs will be invaluable in serving students that have fallen through the cracks like our daughter did when she was held back without our knowing. We also had a daughter that was sexually violated in our schools. We need board a board member that will not be a politician but a advocate for the voiceless.  

I believe in practical, common-sense solutions. These solutions address problems directly and efficiently. My top priorities include:

• Improving the behavior code of conduct so that are classrooms are conducive for learning.
• Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment free from bullying by focusing on mental health and programs that help our youth mature in character .
• Focusing on trade programs and career readiness.
• We also want to focus on teacher recruitment and student retention. We are losing a lot of students to private and public schools. 

We should be preparing our children through trade programs that will prepare them to have businesses and enter a competitive work force. I believe success comes from prioritizing what truly impacts and empowers our children. They must be prepared to contribute productively to society.

If you give me your vote I promise to be your advocate and voice on the school board. One thing that is very important to me running this campaign is keeping personal politics out of our schools. So I am not running a democrat campaign or a republican campaign regardless of what my opponents might say. I am running a children focused campaign and improving our schools.
